Mystic 1800

This website has transformed couple of times. Back in 2005 when I registered this domain, I had in mind -mixing- page, -- place where I could present some of my creations (mixes) as I was "DJ" back then.

On some point (2006) I decided I really want to write my own blog, so I start writing simple blog, which was about everyday events and occasionally about design which was - on that point - my relatively new passion. Latter on, I start expressing more personal thoughts, and stories. I start publishing my creations (paintings), and wrote long description "about myself", - so page was as personal as possible.

In the beginning of this year, I translated page to English (which isn't exactly perfect, but good enough I guess). But, now it's time for another change - I want to depersonalize this blog, I want to make it general and pointed only and totally into new age topics. So in next couple of months (if time will allow me this), I'll made changes.

But why?

I have feeling that "me" -- things about me are noise, in the way of message I'm trying to communicate. Selecting one (very) particular topic, will make this blog more directed and clean, easier to understand and open to wider public.

So stay tuned - and check this site from time to time. New design is on the way too - but it will take some time.

Well, this was actually system's update, from version 0.60 to 0.65; For last month or even more, page wasn't working fully, since I had to turn off "RSS Reader" plug-in, that wasn't big deal since only "Tweets" and "Last.fm" weren't working (in sidebar). That's about front-side, but in the back, was couple of more "problems", which v0.65 will eliminate. The biggest thing was of course the lack of any spam filter. In other words, there was no spam filter whatsoever, so even comments and messages with 1.000 links were accepted.

I did mention that I like music, but I feel like I must dedicate special post just for it, since - it's playing really quite a big part in my life.

Usually, no matter if I work, chat, - cycling or driving -- no matter if I'm in good or very bad mood - there's almost always playing music which marge with my feelings and things which I'm doing.
  I won't say however, that I can't stand silence, I actually appreciate silence, and there are times (or even whole periods) when I am in silence.

Well, Slovenia is nice country, I think. :) Sure -- it's small, and sure -- most people don't know that Slovenia even exists, and those who think they know, are mostly wrong - since they're probably confusing Slovenia with Slovakia (and who could blame them, Slovenia and Slovakia really sounds similar, not to even mention the (crazy) fact, that our flags are identical).

But really, those things aren't so important. The important thing is, that life here is peaceful, nice, easy and full of opportunities. :) The air is (mostly) clean, - the nature it's (mostly) friendly: no extremely dangerous animals, (mostly) no earthquakes, no volcano, no tsunamis. Landscape is colorful, everything from sea to mountains (Alps), caves, lakes, rivers and (mostly I guess) forest ... The climate very favorable: (nicely) hot summers, and winters (with snow!!), between those two very expressive spring and autumn.

Slovenia is part of the EU. And it's developed enough - so that every person can live decent life. Even more, people mostly enjoying good life of middle class. Really. Who could complain?

As far as I think, we can be graceful for being born in such a favorable part of the world. But, are Slovenians generally graceful and happy about it? -- Well, not so much actually. Slovenia is ranked on (amazing) fourth place on suicide list. Depressing, eh?

So, anyway. :)

I took some pictures, near to where I live, but they were all quite bad. So, rather than posting them, I jump to the net, and look if I can find anything better. And actually, - I did. I found quite a lot of really nice photos on DeviantArt, so I created a nice collection (click on link to see it) there.

After almost eleven months, here's the 4th version of this blog/portfolio. I started to planing this version, very soon after I created previous. But - I started to working on it, a month ago. I started with the design and HTML+CSS code. The dynamic part of the page, it's another story. For this version, I'm using my own CMS (Content Management System), which I was creating for quite some time. The system it's still in _beta_, so you can expect some errors, but I think nothing (too) big. :)
