Know yourself

We are, what we think we are, that's what the Buddha said - and no matter how you understand this statement, it's true - and you can take it literally. Now, here's the first problem: instead of trusting ourselves, and believing in ourselves - we believe what other tell us. You'll maybe say now, that a person is defined by his/her environment, therefore - there's no choice. That's not true of course; even though we're define by our environment - there's a choice, actually, a path on which we can step; the path of self-exploration, - self-realization. So, the exploration of our inner world. The realization who we are, and what's our purpose. And this realization shouldn't be just something shallow - but should be deep - philosophical and spiritual experience.
When realize who you are, you won't need grasp on the world anymore - and hoping people will say something good about you, so that you could feel a bit better, and you won't have to hope, that people won't say something bad, which could made you sad.
This is the point on which you know who you are - they have right to their opinion - but you know, so you don't have to (and you don't) react emotional.

Be Grateful

There is so many things, for which we all can be grateful, if for nothing else, we can start, with the realization, that we're - by some miracle - alive, and conscious. Where is life and conscious, it's always potential, of happiness (and even enlightenment), so we can be grateful, even if only for that potential.

In dark times of my life, I was grateful for light days and short periods of happiness; when things were much better, I slowly forgot to be grateful. Instead of that, I became greedy.

To Be Alive

The realization of reality would lead into liberation. People have no idea how far from reality they are. We have no idea, what a big illusion is this, what we perceive as "reality".
I won't say I'm some kind of exception, some kind of superman, who is liberated, free, illuminated, enlightened in state of nirvana, - no, I'm not. I'm not even close.

Where Everything is Music

Rumi influenced and inspired me a lot. It was truly healing for my soul in dark times, and I guess I don't have to explain why. Just read something he wrote,...

I'm posting one of his poems...

The Relationship

What I understand under word "relationship"* is simply willingness to share life with another person, it's just like friendship with little differences.
   * I'm talking about intimate relationships through whole post; so when I write -relationship- please have in mind, that I'm thinking about this particular type of relationships.

First of first, I believe love should be part of relationship, however, love is much wider than relationship itself. I actually see quite a lot of selfishness and limitations (+hate,jealousy,etc..) in many relationships, while I consider love to be wide, open and pure (as I wrote about it).

We could imagine relationship as soup, and love is water. So it's (main) ingredient, but it's quite modified, and mixed with other things.

Site update: v4.1

Well, this was actually system's update, from version 0.60 to 0.65; For last month or even more, page wasn't working fully, since I had to turn off "RSS Reader" plug-in, that wasn't big deal since only "Tweets" and "Last.fm" weren't working (in sidebar). That's about front-side, but in the back, was couple of more "problems", which v0.65 will eliminate. The biggest thing was of course the lack of any spam filter. In other words, there was no spam filter whatsoever, so even comments and messages with 1.000 links were accepted.

I did mention that I like music, but I feel like I must dedicate special post just for it, since - it's playing really quite a big part in my life.

Usually, no matter if I work, chat, - cycling or driving -- no matter if I'm in good or very bad mood - there's almost always playing music which marge with my feelings and things which I'm doing.
I won't say however, that I can't stand silence, I actually appreciate silence, and there are times (or even whole periods) when I am in silence.

Almost all of us grew up eating meat, wearing leather, and going to circuses and zoos. We never considered the impact of these actions on the animals involved. For whatever reason, you are now asking the question: Why should animals have rights?
